INDICATIONS

Testosterone is a steroid hormone from the androgen group. In mammals, testosterone is primarily secreted in the testicles of men and in female eggs, but small amounts are also secreted by the adrenal glands. It is the main male sexual hormone and an anabolic steroid. In both men and women, testosterone plays an important role in health and well-being as well as sexual functions. Examples include increased libido, increased energy, increased production of red blood cells, and protection against osteoporosis. On average an adult human body produces approximately 40-60 times more testosterone from an adult female body, but women are more susceptible to hormone.

SIDE EFFECTS

However, as with any hormone, testosterone or other anabolic steroids have been given for other conditions and purposes depending on change over the years, but there are variable success rates but higher rates of side effects or problems. Lack of infertility, libido or erectile dysfunction, osteoporosis, penile enlargement, height growth, bone marrow stimulation, and anemia recycling and appetite stimuli are included. By the late 1940s, testosterone was promoted as a marvelous curiosity of anti-aging (see, for example, Paul de Kruif’s Male Hormone). The decrease in testosterone production with age has led to a demand for Androgen Replacement Therapy.
